Lately, I've been shying away from painting and drawing. Sure, I did a little, but at the moment, my passion lies in cosplay. Working on my druid outfit is very challenging and fun. I've never been much of a sewer and always needed help before. But now I live far from my mom, who always helped me before, and I don't have much time to go get her help when I need it. It's very rewarding in a way, to do everything myself.
I always watched other cosplayers with awe, and still do - how much work is put into it, how much time and thought to create something that looks almost exactly like the reference. I hope to become that good some day.
But even if I won't, just creating something like a full outfit from scratch, it's pretty amazing.
For now I've only almost finished my skirt and my staff - I'm still missing a top, shoulders and gloves. But I'm getting somewhere, and it feels amazing.
Right now, that's my passion - drawing seems so boring and 2-dimensional next to it. But maybe it's because I'm out of practice and not as good as I once (think) I was.
I can't wait to finish and get to wear my costume!
